Happy Halloween

This year Kaylyn chose Hannah Montana and Luke chose Spiderman for their costumes. They had the best time playing their parts. Of course Kaylyn was posing all night, she is all about some Hannah Montana. She actually wanted to wear her Hannah wig to school on Monday and tell everyone that she had dyed her hair. Ohhhh, I don't know what I'm going to do with that child! Luke loved his muscle chested costume. He actually wore his mask all night! He did have a hard time seeing through the small eye holes, he had to get really close to see whatever it was he was looking at. He looked like a little old man bending over to get a closer look! I had to guide him around all night, but he was not going to lose the mask!
I told her to give me a "Hannah pose" and this is what I got...

Throwing some web

Chloe was a sweet little lion. Candace's mom actually made her costume. I thought it was so cute.
Kicked back, just along for the ride.

It's The Big Field Trip Day

Today was the big field trip day for both of the kids. Kaylyn went to Anniston to the Museum of Natural Science and Luke went to Disney on Ice. It worked out that Chris was able to take off of work to go with one of them. Of course Kaylyn chose her Daddy to go with her on her trip...can you say Daddy's girl? DARN, I had to miss the museum and had to go to Disney on Ice. :)

Disney on Ice

Luke and I went to see Disney on Ice. The show was great! Perfect theme for us this year....the Incredibles Trip to Disney World. We saw all the characters, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Plu-Dog as Luke calls him. He was also convinced we were going to Dinsey World this morning. It took me ALL day to make him understand that today was Disney ON ICE, not Disney WORLD! There weren't very many photo ops of Luke, because...well...you know, we just watched the show and came home. Of course he wouldn't cooperate for the few pics I got of him, refused to look at the camera.
Totally in to the show
Me and My Buddy....eating popcorn. As usual, he wasn't into taking pictures...

A Day At The Museum

Chris and Kaylyn made the journey to Anniston to the Museum of Natural History. They saw lots of interesting things. There were all kinds of reptiles which Kaylyn was all about until the guy brought out the snakes....Kaylyn left the front row and promptly claimed her new seat on the back row. Can't say I blame her!

"Pumpkins Don't Have Ears"

Last week Luke's class decorated their pumpkins they had gotten from the pumpkin patch. Luke was so proud of his, he couldn't wait to show it off. He was showing me the eyes, nose and mouth and then he said, "I put ears on it but took them off. Pumpkins don't have ears." Now, everyone who sees this pumpkin gets informed that "pumpkins don't have ears."

Botanical Gardens Pics

A couple of weeks ago we took the kids to the Botanical Gardens to have Kim Sharit make their pics. I thought they turned out so good. Kim is an excellent photographer, she is so patient...she even got a few smiles out of Luke! Of course Kaylyn always loves the camera and I think Chloe is a camera hog in training! Check out her blog at http://www.sharitphotos.blogspot.com/.

Look at these two pretending to like each other!

One of my many fav's

Ha, ha....she got a smile! During photo shoots he makes it his goal to hold a straight face!

Didn't realize I'd put this pic on here twice....

Luke...determined not to crack a smile....

"Today's My Pumpkin Patch Day!!!!...."

....were the first words out of Luke's mouth this morning. He's been so excited about this trip all week, he's been counting down the days. All the kids had such a good time. There was a petting zoo, face painting, sliding and jumping, a hay maze, fishing, a hay ride, and of course a pumpkin hunt. All the kids are now thoroughly worn out!

The day has finally come...Luke got to ride on a school bus. This has been on his "when I get bigger" list for about 2 years now.
