Another Run-Away Child...

Okay...so I just can't seem to keep up with any of my children lately. First the dog and now Luke!
Sunday evening, we were getting ready for some friends to come to our house, Chris was bar-b-quing and I was heading to the store to get some last minute things we had forgotten. It was 5:00, I looked outside and Kaylyn and Luke and the girl next door were playing in the fence in the back yard. I left to go to the store and less than 10 minutes later I got a call from Chris asking if Luke was with me. I told him I didn't have him and he said he was not in the fence and not in the house. I immediately did a U-turn in the middle of the road and headed back home. When I got home, he was still not there. Immediate panic set in and we all started running to every house looking for him. Suddenly Maggie came running up, and Paul got in the car and drove the direction she had come from. About 8 houses down there was Luke in on some people's (who we don't know) front porch. The lady had called the police! (This was just before we found him and she called them back, so they never came) It turns out he had snuck past Chris and went out the door also letting Maggie out and then he followed her. He didn't come back home because he was talking to this lady who wouldn't let him leave because she didn't know where he belonged. All total he was only lost for about 20 minutes, but it seems like and eternity when you are in a panic!

Nicole, I know exactly how you feel. I don't know if Tricia told you but Weston climbed under a hole that was by our fence and then let Ty out. I had that awful panic feeling and found him about 4 houses down sitting in someone's garage on their lawn-mower. I almost put out a missing person report. Ashley Covin
