Christmas Parties, night #2...Tonight we had the Kacharos family Christmas party. Again we had way too much good food and spent time with family. Every year we take pictures of all of the families, this is always fun...and chaotic, trying to get about 30 people organized. The kids got to play with their cousins, and were exhausted by the time we got home. They fell right asleep. We were supposed to go to my parent's house tomorrow night, but that got changed until Christmas Eve. So...no parties tomorrow night, but I do have to participate in the live nativity at church. I'm not letting the kids do it this year, because they are just not quite old enough to stand on the side of a busy road for 2 hours. Maybe in a couple of years. Anyway, a break from the parties tomorrow, on to Christmas at Aunt Brenda's Sunday afternoon.
Tonight we began our annual Christmas marathon at my grandmother's. From now until Christmas, we will go to a different family function everyday (sometimes twice in one day). Exhausting, but fun. Tonight we had some good food and enjoyed being together with family. Of course the kids were excited about getting to open Christmas presents for the first time this year. Cousin Chloe pretty much snoozed through her first family Christmas get together. Oh well, Paul and Candace enjoy it while you can, because next year you will be chasing her everywhere! Tomorrow night...on to Cousin Bonnie's for the Kacharos family get-together. Stay tuned for more pics.
Today, a group of us from the ER met at the Bright Star for lunch. The group was me, Michelle, Tricia and her grandson Weston, Staci and Trevor, Kelley and Hunter, Missy and Brent, and Tricia's daughter Jennifer and her twins, Aiden and Austin. I decided to have a kid-free day to myself...:). Sorry kids...maybe next time! (maybe not!) We had such a good time just being together and enjoying good food. We will have to do it again soon.
Last night we had our ER Christmas party at Kam's house. I cannot even begin to describe all of the decorations Kam has; there were lights everywhere and he has a beautiful flower garden in his back yard with a new patio and outdoor fireplace. It was the perfect evening for sitting outside around the fire. There was so much good food, Kam always outdoes himself. After we ate,we played Dirty Santa, that's always a fun game. A good time was had by all. Thank you Kam opening up your beautiful home to all of us.
