Luke will be 3 years old tommorow. I can't believe it! It seem like just yesterday we were anxiously awaiting his arrival. He is getting to be such a big boy. In the past year, he has started talking non-stop, he has thrown away the "pappy", he has gotten rid of the sippy cups, he has moved from his crib into his big boy bed, and he has potty-trained. He has also lost his baby look and now looks like a little boy. But what kills me the most is his independence. I hear several times a day, "I can do it by myself, I'm a big boy." He told me the other day when I was taking him to school, "Don't hold my hand, I'm a big boy." His independence is a good thing in most ways, but sometimes I just want him to stay little a little while longer. He also has some of the funniest conversations. The other day while driving home from school:
Luke: "I want to go swimming today."
Me: "You can't, we don't have a pool."
Luke: "Well go to Wal-Mart and buy one."
You guessed it, Wal-Mart is his favorite place to be!

More Birthday Pics
My Other Baby
She's a little camera shy.
This is Maggie. She is a Cairn terrior. She was jealous of her sister and brother getting all of the attention, so I told her I would put her on the blog too!
P.S. We also have a cat named Callie, a bird named Bama, and a rabbit named Cadbury. I'm thinking of starting my own petting zoo!

Poor Kaylyn!
Kaylyn had a tonsillectomy this morning. At first she was excited about getting to eat ice cream and jello for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but now she is re-thinking the whole situation. She feels pretty rotten. At least this way we can cut down on some of the sore throats she would have had this winter. Last winter was pretty rough!
Kaylyn waiting for surgery
Thank You Ms. Jennifer!
Jennifer was our child life specialist who came to see us before surgery. She did a wonderful job of explaining the OR to Kaylyn. She had losts of pictures and supplies for Kaylyn to look at and play with. Of course Kaylyn had lots of questions for her and Jennifer had answers for every one of them.

Crazy Blog!!!
I finally started a blog, but it's about to drive me crazy. For some reason all of the pic's are out of order. I'm sure there is a simple solution, but until somebody shows me what I've done wrong you all will just have to view it as is. Also alot of the pic's are under "old posts" for some reason. Don't forget to look at those.
Don't Take My Picture!
Panama City Beach
This past weekend we took a little vacation to Panama City. Paul and Candace went with us. My cousin Josh also went with us. He is home on military leave for a few weeks, so he decided to spend some time with us on the coast. We had a great time. The kids loved it, this trip went much better than our last beach trip. On that trip, Luke cried for 5 solid days! No fun!! This time was a different story. We had to drag the kids off the beach everyday. The water was clear, the beach was beautiful, and the kids loved it. What more could you ask for...a few more days! Oh well, I guess I will just have to wait until September when the ER girls take our annual beach trip!
